The Educational Opportunity Center provides information regarding financial aid for individuals who
want to pursue a post-secondary education.
FAFSA ONLINE
FAFSA ONLINE is an internet based submission form
designed by the U.S. Department of Education for use in applying for federal
financial aid. Applicants type in their information and the data is
transmitted directly to the Department of Education via the internet. All
the applicant needs to do is mail in the signature sheet that prints out
after the transmission and wait for a response. Through the regular
process of filling out the paper FAFSA form, the applicant would receive an
SAR (student aid report) in the mail in approximately 6 to 8 weeks after the
application is received by the Department of Education. Using FAFSA Online,
the computerized version of the application, applicants should receive an
SAR in approximately 2 to 4 weeks. Call the Educational Opportunity Center @

GCIS (Georgia Career Information Systems)
In addition to career assessments, GCIS has an extensive database that
provides financial opportunities by gender, major, ethnic background,
disability, social organization, etc. These grants and scholarships are compiled
from schools & organizations locally and nationwide.
