Dr. Eric Friginal and Dean William Long at the Dean’s Early Career Awards Reception, February 22, 2012

ATLANTA – Dr. Eric Friginal was chosen as one of the three recipients of the Dean’s Early Career Awards 2011-2012, College of Arts and Sciences together with Drs. Vladimir E. Bondarenko of Mathematics and Statistics and Daniel Robin of Communication. “In three very different fields, these assistant professors are helping to push the boundaries of the research and creative work done in the College of Arts and Sciences,” said Dean William Long. “I couldn’t be more pleased to celebrate and support their success.”

The Dean’s Early Career Awards provide research funding to rising faculty stars each year. The award is designed to help the College of Arts and Sciences attract and retain the best and brightest scholars, researchers, and creative artists. Award recipients were celebrated at a reception at the Commerce Club and received a salary supplement in recognition of their outstanding research and service. (Thanks to Ann Claycombe)
