ABOUT US

We are an inter-related and multifaceted applied
linguistics program that focuses on adult second language acquisition
in its broadest sense (e.g., the acquisition of literacy, sociolinguistic
competence, corpus linguistics, second language teacher education, task-based
curricula and so forth). Our department includes:
- An Intensive English Program (IEP) with an emphasis on academic English
- An ESL Program for GSU undergraduate and graduate students
- An undergraduate program
- A Master’s Program
- A PhD Program
- A Testing Program
