Programs

    



The Department of Applied Linguistics and ESL consists of numerous interconnected programs.

Graduate students may

  • Teach undergraduate courses
  • Teach in the Intensive English Program (IEP) and ESL Program
  • Work with faculty on research
  • Spend a semester in Mexico, Turkey, or Canada
  • Spend two years in the Peace Corps

Undergraduate students may

  • Work with faculty on research
  • Obtain a TEFL Certificate and teach English internationally
  • Teach English locally to immigrants and refugees
