Alison Camacho

Alison is currently a lecturer at the Intensive English Program (IEP) and has been teaching at Georgia State since 2008. She began her teaching career in Japan, teaching high school students for the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) program. She then received her MA in Applied Linguistics and ESL from GSU in 2005. Alison has worked for several special exchange programs at GSU, including the Egyptian Teacher Training Program and the Summer Cultural Exchange Program with students from China and Korea. She has also worked as a teacher trainer for the English Language Fellow Program in Durango, Mexico and as an ESL instructor at the University of Florida. Alison’s pedagogical and research interests include materials development, using technology in the classroom, and interactive language teaching.
