Dara Suchke

 

Dara Suchke received her master's degree in Applied Linguistics & ESL from Georgia State University in 2005, and began teaching in the Intensive English Program as an instructor soon thereafter. Prior to teaching in the Intensive English Program, Dara taught community ESL classes around the Atlanta area and also taught English at an elementary school in Punjab, India. As an instructor at GSU, Dara has served on the Student Issues Committee and has also been involved with organizing and leading student service and cultural activities as Student Activities Coordinator. Her pedagogical and research interests include student motivation, assessment , and the incorporation of music and technology in the language classroom. She has recently presented papers on topics related to assessing oral communication skills, increasing student motivation in IEPs, and incorporating music in L2 learning.
