Georgia State Working Papers in Applied Linguistics: Call for Papers

 

The Department of Applied Linguistics and ESL at Georgia State University is pleased to announce the publication of Georgia State Working Papers in Applied Linguistics, beginning in March, 2004. This Internet-based semiannual publication will provide a forum for students, faculty, and other members of GSU to share their work in progress and discuss issues related to applied linguistics. We invite submissions of research-oriented papers, review articles, and book reviews that are related to all topics of applied linguistics. We are particularly interested in papers in the following areas:

Corpus linguistics
Cross-cultural communication
Second language acquisition
Second language discourse analysis
Second language teacher education
Sociolinguistics
Language structure and typology
The teaching of listening, speaking, reading and writing
Testing and assessment

The papers submitted to the publication should be original contributions. Papers should not exceed 6000 words, including references, and should follow the guidelines in the current edition of Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association. Manuscripts must include an abstract of no more than 200 words. Email submission of manuscripts is strongly encouraged. All manuscripts must be submitted in Word format.
