Sentence Completion

Similar in many ways to a Fill-in-the-Blank activity, Sentence Completion requires respondents to provide information to be added to a stem in order to make a sentence complete. The criterion used to distinguish this category from Fill-in-the-Blank relates to the nature of the response. Here, respondents are required to provide more than one part of speech for each blank, while Fill-in-the-Blank activities ask for only one part of speech (e.g., subject, verb, etc.).
