Saturday October 11, 2008: Title
I Parental Involvement Conference at Avondale Middle School located at
3131 Old Rockbridge Rd., Avondale Estates, GA 3002, from 7:30AM until

Thursday October 16, 2008: PROBE College Fair- Cobb South, from
6:30 PM - 8:30 PM. Will take place at Marietta High School located at
1171 Whitlock Avenue, Marietta, GA 30064.
Saturday October 18, 2008: The National Association for College
Admission Counseling will hold its 'Performing and Visual Arts College
Fair' from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. at Pebblebrook High School located at 991
Old Alabama Road Mableton, GA 30126. For more information, please call

Wednesday October 22, 2008: Georgia State University, Division
of Student Affairs, Office of Educational Opportunity and TRIO Programs

Friday October 31, 2008: Application deadline for the Coca-Cola
4-year Scholarship for seniors. Please
visit the following website for more information and to access application
process: www.coca-colascholars.org.
January 12, 2009: Deadline for the The Gates Millennium Scholars
Program (GMS). Scholarship application is currently available for the
2009 selection process. Scholarship applications must be submitted online
by January 12, 2009 at 11:59 p.m. EST or the paper application postmarked
on or before January 12, 2009. Please click here

Sunday, February 8, 2009: The National Association for College
Admission Counseling will be hosting their Spring College Fair from 12:00
p.m.–4:00 p.m. at the Georgia International Convention Center, College
Park, GA.
Sunday, February 15, 2009: College Goal Sunday will take place
at various locations throughout Georgia. Please visit www.collegegoalsundayga.com
for additional information. Event will start at 2:00PM.
March 2009, TBA: Tentative deadline for the DeKalb Early College
Academy located at 1701 Mountain Industrial Blvd. Tucker, GA 30084. DeKalb
County School System students currently in the 8th grade who will be first
in their family to attend college and/or low-income are eligible to apply.
