What services does the program provide?

  • A library consisting of college catalogs, brochures and application from institutions throughout the nation for information on post secondary education and student financial assistance.

  • Academic, financial, career, or interpersonal counseling.

  • Career exploration, achievement assessment, and aptitude evaluation.

  • Early awareness activities for sixth, seventh, and eighth graders.

  • Workshops for the families of participants.

  • Referrals to other supportive services programs (ie.d.Upward Bound, mentoring programs, tutorial services, and/or homework hotlines).

  • High School and College adjustment seminars.

  • Fee Waivers and assistance in preparing for college entrance exams.

  • Assistance in completing college admissions and financial aid applications.

  • Field Trips for exposure to college campuses and for career investigations at local industries/businesses.
