Paula Christopher
Project Manager

Paula manages instructional technology projects related to the design and development of academic courseware in a web-based environment. She coordinates the uLearn program for University Educational Technology Services (UETS) at Georgia State, helping faculty design and develop their online courses, training new users and designers, assisting faculty and students with uLearn problems and creating new course accounts. She has a Master's degree in Instructional Technology. Paula has more than seven years experience in instructional design. Her training experience includes eight years in the U.S. Army, two years in a corporate environment and seven years in an academic setting. She is a Blackboard Certified Trainer.

Harold Powers
Project Manager & GeorgiaVIEW Administrator for the USG

Harold is the Project Manager for the Board of Regents GeorgiaVIEW (called uLearn at GSU) and is based with UETS at Georgia State. Harold's role focuses on implementation and management of University System-wide GeorgiaVIEW servers for use in the online delivery of courses offered by USG institutions and is also actively involved with system-wide faculty development on the use of GeorgiaVIEW from a pedagogically-based teaching and learning perspective. Harold has a M.Ed. in Instructional Technology and his teaching background includes experience in the middle grades, higher education and corporate training. Harold is a Blackboard Certified Trainer.

Zoe Salloom
Project Manager

Zoe provides instructional design and uLearn support for University faculty. Zoe is actively involved in designing and creating reusable learning objects and manages several projects. She was a WebCT administrator and an instructional technology consultant for California State University, Chico, before coming to Georgia State. Zoe has been training educators in the use of technology and how to integrate technology into the curriculum since 1990. She was part of a team that received a California State School Restructuring grant and, as a result of the grant, taught in a multi-age classroom for five years. Her Master's is in Instructional Design from California State University, Chico. Zoe is a Blackboard Certified Trainer.

Elmostafa Elsawy
Educational Technology Specialist Intermediate

Mostafa has a Master’s degree in Instructional Technology and a master’s in Applied Linguistics. Mostafa has been an instructor at Georgia State since 1999. He has experience in uLearn support, design and development, designing learning objects, and training. He is skilled in uLearn, HTML, Dreamweaver, Flash, FrontPage, Fireworks, Photoshop, Viewlet Builder, etc. Some of his major projects include Case Study (a reusable learning object), multiple online training modules developed using Viewlet Builder (Georgia Tech), training documentation and an online Arabic Language Module.

Patricia Anderson
Special Projects Coodinator

Tricia has worked for Georgia State since 1999 and has been with University Educational Technology Services for the past seven years. She administers and supports vClass (Elluminate), the University's virtual classroom tool, and provides assistance to faculty in its use. She also coordinates the web-based training program (etraining with Element K) and faciliates our software selection projects. Tricia has a B.B.A in Management.

Chandra Maharaj
Training Coordinator

Chandra coordinates our Training program that assists faculty and staff with their individual computer training needs. Chandra has vast experience helping both advanced and novice computer users using a variety of software packages and provides second level support for GroupWise and MS Office products. Chandra determines training needs, schedules instructor-led training classes, and assists faculty, staff and students with training issues. Her B.B.A. is in Marketing and Public Relations.

Lovely Lewis
uLearn Administrator

Lovely is a certified Blackboard Learning Systems institutional administrator and has worked for the University System of Georgia in Instructional Technology since 2000. She transferred to Georgia State University in January 2007. She now serves as our uLearn Administrator as well as backup support for vClass (Elluminate), the University’s virtual classroom tool.
