Computer Labs & Classrooms Staff

Joe Amador
Manager

Joe Amador has been the Manager of UETS Lab & Classroom Technology since May 2000. Joe has been employed with UETS since September 1994. Starting as a part time student assistant was associated with the eLearning group as an instructor and one of the first WebCT administrators. In addition, Joe also assisted the Web Service Group during the 1996 Atlanta Olympics and was over the Digital Media Group. Joe holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Computer Information Systems from Georgia State University.

Chinelo Arinze
Classroom Support Associate

Chinelo Arinze has been involved with the customer service segment of the Georgia State University UETS department since 2002. In 2005 Chinelo joined the UETS classroom support staff and became a front line component for lab and classroom customer support. Currently, Chinelo provides telephone trouble shooting and dispatcher services for classroom support. She holds a bachelors of business administration degree in both marketing and real estate.

Ryan Berndt
Classroom Support Technician, Intermediate

Ryan came to Georgia State University in February 2005 following several years of employment in the private sector as well as owning his own business. Ryan has extensive on-site hardware and software technical support experience and a proven ability for troubleshooting, identifying and solving technical problems. Ryan holds an Associates degree in Applied Science – Visual Arts / Graphic Design.

Dan Bragg
Classroom Support Technician, Lead

Daniel brings 15 years of private sector management experience to Georgia State. Since joining UETS as lab supervisor, the campus has realized a remodel and capacity increase of the main computer lab, the addition of the Aderhold lab, a new lab support structure employing students, the campus PantherPrint system, and a lab partnership with Incept for new freshman math testing. He administors the PantherPrint system for the campus and is a facilitator with IS&T's Panther's Dialogue.

Tony Culberson
Classroom Support Technician, Lead

Tony is the Lab & Classroom Support Technician Lead for the day shift. His current duties includes overseeing the day shfit technicians and provide classroom technical assistance. He holds an Associates degree from Massey Business College majoring in Data processing. Tony previously was employed by Total Audio Visual Services (TAVS) as a Branch Manager and was the Audio Visual Department Supervisor with BellSouth Corporation (Southern Bell).

Decetra Dunn
Classroom Support Technician, Intermediate

Decetra began working for Lab and Classroom Support in May 2000. Her job responsibilities include assisting callers with the technology in the classrooms. She is front line support for Lab and Classroom Support. Her major is Biological Sciences. Decetra plans to graduate in May 2004.

Andy Farr
Classroom Support Technician, Lead

Andy is a Lab and Classroom Support Technician Lead for the in the new Aderhold Learning Center. He is responsible for overseeing and making sure that all hardware and software are working correctly in these areas. This also includes all classroom equipment including digital projectors, document camera, Crestron touchpanels, and the computers. His primary duties include going on calls when there are equipment failures and fixing the problem(s) as quickly and efficiently as possible. He is also involved in some software development within the office environment that helps the employees better perform their job. Andy graduated from Georgia State University in December 2001 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Computer Information Systems. Prior to becoming a classroom support technician, Andy was a computer lab assistant as a student since 1997. He joined the classroom support team in January 2001.

Damon Hege
Classroom Support Technician, Intermediate

Damon Hege joined UETS in 2005. He has 6 years of experience working with professional Audio and Video equipment and systems. Damon has designed, built, integrated and maintained video editing and recording studio systems for companies and individuals such as Cartoon Network, Turner South, Coca-Cola Corporation, Usher and SO-SO DEF. Damon holds an A.A.S degree in Culinary Arts from Johnson and Wales University in Charleston South Carolina and is working towards a BBS in Computer Information Systems from Georgia State University.

Michael Lenna
Classroom Support Technician, Lead

Michael is the Technology Manager for the Brookhaven Learning Center and is responsible for all lab and classroom technology. Michael came to Georgia State in January 2002 following several years of employment in the private sector with companies such as IBM and KPMG, LLP. Michael has extensive on-site hardware and software technical support experience. He holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Management and Applied Economics from Cornell University.

Robert Musick
Senior Software Environment Engineer

Robert graduated from the University of South Florida with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science. After a career in desktop support within the private sector, Robert joined UETS in 1997 as the sole hardware support person. In his latest role as Software Environment Engineer, Robert completed training with Zenworks, Altiris, and Fortress enabling him to develop a flexible, yet secure and stable workstation image. Robert now develops the image found in all the general catalog classrooms and UETS open access labs encompassing nearly 1000 computer workstations.

Steve Pitches
Classroom Support Technician, Intermediate
UETS/GSAMS Coordinator

Steve Pitches has been involved in classroom technology support at Georgia State since 1974. His background includes providing support to academic classes, continuing education conferences and special events. He is currently responsible for the scheduling and operation of the GSAMS videoconferencing system at GSU. Steve also has been involved in video production for more than 20 years, and is senior television director for First Presbyterian Church in Atlanta.

Mark Rubesch
Classroom Support Technician, Intermediate

Mark graduated from Georgia State University with a BBA in Computer Information Systems. While serving as a Student Assistant in the computer lab, as a student, Mark became a full time employee after graduation. He is responsible for keeping computer technology working in the classrooms as, well as, teaching the faculty and students how to use the equipment.

Michael Samas
Classroom Support Technician, Intermediate

Michael is a Classroom Support Technician Intermediate for the evening shift. His current responsibilities include media and technology support as well as troubleshooting. for our classrooms, lecture halls and auditoriums and assisting faculty staff and students with technology related issues. Michael is a graduate of Georgia Southwestern State University.

Adila Syeda
Classroom Support Technician, Intermediate

Adila is a Lab and Classroom Support Technician at the Brookhaven Center. She is responsible for ensuring that all hardware and software are in proper working condition in the classrooms and the computer lab located in the facility. In addition, Adila supervises a small team of student assistants. Adila graduated from Georgia State University in December 2001 with a B.B.A in CIS. Prior to becoming a Classroom Support Technician, Adila worked as Computer Lab Assistant at the Alpharetta Center since 2001.

Clinton Taylor
Classroom Support Technician, Intermediate

Clinton Taylor is a Computer Tech at Georgia State University in the UETS department. He attend Morris Brown College, majoring in film. Clinton has been employed with the university since 1998. Before joining UETS, Clinton was employed by Bank of America formerly Nations Bank.

Kevin Tucker
Classroom Support Technician, Intermediate

Kevin has worked at Georgia State since October 2002. He is a Classroom Support Technician. He has worked in the IT field for 5 years. Kevin holds a BBA in Marketing from Radford University and a Graduate degree in Information Technology from American InterContinental University. Kevin served in the Virginia Army National Guard for 7 years. In that time he served in Operation Desert Storm, graduated from Officer Candidate School, and Served as a Platoon Leader in a Combat Engineer Unit.
