What is a vClass Course?

A course runs over a long duration, such as a minimester or semester, and consists of multiple sessions, usually based on an academic course schedule. Courses require students (participants) to be registered for the course. The vClass administrator notifies the moderator and participants on how to login to a single location using their unique username and password. Only Georgia State instructors can request a course.

Examples

  1. Instead of meeting in a physical classroom, an instructor wishes to hold class live online. To meet with her students from 5:30pm to 7:10pm each Tuesday and Thursday for the entire semester, she would complete and submit the Request a Course form.
  2. Virtual office hourse may be considered a vClass course if sessions are on a regular, fixed scheduled for a set of registered students (participants).
