Meetings

What is a vClass meeting?

A meeting is a non-repeating event. There are two types of meetings: one-time meetings and open meeting rooms.

One-time meetings are for short durations (2-4 hours) and may be used for training, demonstrations or meetings. These meetings may be recorded.

Open meeting rooms are created for longer durations (4 hours to several days) and can be used as virtual offices, conference rooms or practice rooms. One-time meetings can be recorded upon request but open meetings are not. These meetings can not be recorded.

Examples

  1. A staff or faculty member wants to schedule vClass for a meeting with individuals on or off campus
  2. A student wishes to meet with her class team to discuss a project
  3. A faculty member wishes to have a guest speaker from another state or country visit live online with his class
  4. An instructor wishes to meet with her students in a syncrhonous environment once at the beginning of the semester, at midterm and at the end of the semester

Complete the Request a Meeting form for each date requested. For #4 above, the instructor will have to submit the form three times, once for each date.
