Policies (Computer Labs & Classrooms)
Classrooms
Specific Restrictions:
- Food and drink are NOT allowed in the classrooms.
- As a courtesy to
others, please turn off cell phones and pagers.
- Telephones in the classrooms
are for official academic and emergency use only.
- Equipment cannot be moved, modified, or added. If there are any problems
with the equipment, please report it to the Classroom Hotline at 3-34321
on campus, 404-413-7777 at the Alpharetta Center.
- The software configuration of the computers or servers may not be
modified. If you need the software configuration modified, please contact
the Manager of Lab and Classroom Support at 404-651-2639.
- At the end of the
class, be sure that the projector is turned off.
- At the end of the
class, instructors must ensure that all students have left the classroom.
- At the end of the class, be sure that the door(s) are CLOSED AND
LOCKED!
- Workstations for the physically challenged may be provided
and labeled as such. Any student may use these workstations, but
physically challenged individuals have priority.
Computer Labs
Specific Restrictions:
- Food and drink are NOT allowed in the Open Access Computer Labs.
- Cell phones may not be used in the Open Access Computer Labs. Pagers
may only be used in vibrate mode.
- Playing computer games, either
locally or on the Internet, is not allowed in the Open Access Computer
Labs.
- The software configuration of the computers or servers may not
be modified.
- Equipment may not be moved or swapped. If there are any
problems with the equipment, please report it to a lab assistant.
- Computer
hardware, other than what is installed, may not be used in the Open
Access Computer Labs without permission from management.
- Telephones
in the Open Access Computer Labs are for lab personnel use only. Pay
phones and campus telephones are available throughout
the campus.
- Several workstations for the physically challenged are provided
and labeled as such. Any student may use these workstations, but physically
challenged
individuals have priority.
