Introduction to the Faculty Handbook
INTRODUCTION
Faculty Handbook Availability:
- The Official Faculty Handbook is located on the World Wide Web
(WWW) by accessing the
Georgia State University Home Page
(URL: http://www.gsu.edu) and selecting "Faculty and
Staff" and then selecting "Policies and Publications" or by typing the
URL: http://www.gsu.edu/facultyhandbook.
All members of the GSU community are encouraged to access the
handbook by this method.
If you need assistance
accessing the on-line Handbook please contact the
Help Desk at 404-413-4507.
- Hardcopy, notebook format, as reference copies are located in
the University Library, Reference Department; University Senate
Office; Office of the Associate Provosts;
and Academic Deans' Offices. Revisions since the September 1, 1996 edition
have only been made to the online version.
Accountability for Information Contained in the Handbook:
Faculty Handbook Revision:
- The Faculty Handbook shall be reviewed and updated annually. Matters
that are pressing or mandatory due to the legal nature of the
change shall be made as needed. Urgent changes shall be made known
to faculty in a timely manner (either by written notice through
dean/chairs and/or posted notice on GSU Web). A summary of substantive
changes shall be maintained in the Handbook.
The date of
the latest general revision shall appear on the Faculty Handbook on the
GSU Web and on the title page of the hardcopy. Changes throughout
the document will be on the pages/sections affected.
