- Department: As defined in the University
Statutes
(Article X, Section 1), the term "department" refers
to departments within colleges, colleges which are not organized
into departments, and divisions, schools, or academic units (including
the University Library) which are not a part of a college. The
term "departmental chair" includes the head of such
units.
- College: As defined in the University
Statutes
(Article
VIII, Section 1), the term "college" includes colleges,
schools, institutes, or academic divisions which are not a part
of another college or school. In addition, the University Library,
functioning as a free-standing academic unit, is organized as
a college. The term "dean" includes the head of such
units.
- The administrative head of the College of Law, the Counseling and
Testing Center, and the University Library serve as both departmental
chair and dean for their faculty.
