It is the policy of Georgia State University to insure that all Vietnam era and/or disabled veterans, who are current employees of the University or applicants for employment, are afforded equal opportunity in maintaining a present position and/or being considered for a position provided they are qualified. This policy includes all aspects of employment: hiring, promotion, demotion or transfer, recruitment, advertising, layoff or termination, equal pay and other compensation, and selection for training.

In an effort to insure that veterans are aware of job openings, all positions, which are vacant at Georgia State University are listed for advertisement within the following agencies:

Georgia State University maintains a Veteran's office on campus which assists veterans by referring them to community agencies and University offices that may offer special services. A veteran's counselor is also available in the Counseling Center to offer special assistance.

This policy conforms to the provision of the Vietnam Era Veterans' Readjustment Act of 1972, as amended 41 CFR, Part 60-250.
