Request for Transfer of Graduate Course Credit:
This form must be
submitted in full to the Graduate Office if you wish to have credit
from another institution transferred to your graduate
program. Please attach a copy of the course syllabus for each course
you wish to have transferred. If a course syllabus is unavailable,
you must obtain satisfactory documentation of the course content
from the institution where the course was taken. A complete official
transcript from that institution must be on file in the Graduate
Office in order for transfer credit to be awarded. In order for the
request to be accepted, you must obtain approval and course
equivalencies from the graduate director in you department and
approval from your discipline area associate dean; and then forward
the paperwork with all documentation to the Office of Graduate
Studies, College of Arts and Sciences.
Forms without the
proper and complete set of signatures cannot be processed.
Master's
candidates: A maximum of 6 semester
hours of transfer credit may be applied to your degree program. A
request for more than 6 hours must be accompanied by a
Petition for
Deviation from Graduate Catalog Regulations.
Doctoral candidates:
A maximum of 30
semester hours of transfer credit may be applied to your degree
program. Course work transferred from other institutions is subject
to the seven-year time limit for the master's degree and the
ten-year time limit on requirements for the doctorate.
