It’s an exciting time for the Gerontology Institute and many of our accomplishments are possible, in part, by the generous donations of our alumni, students, faculty and friends. Each year the Gerontology Institute provides financial support to students in our programs and host educational activities open to the University and the community. Your donation will enable us to engage in outreach efforts to recruit new faculty and graduate students, hold departmental functions such as public lectures and continue to promote the work of our faculty and students.
Below is a list of the areas in which you may contribute.
Support a worthy student in honor of a loved one. Minimum endowment for creating this scholarship is $25,000.
Contributions to Existing Scholarships
Our goal is to provide scholarship support to all students in our program so any gift, whether $50 or $5000, will help us attract and retain the very best students from across the nation.
Donations to the Gerontology Institute Foundation fund serve the department’s greatest needs throughout the year.
Contributions to the Barbara Payne Lectureship
Established in honor of Dr. Barbara Payne, Founder of the Gerontology Institute. The lectureship each year brings a distinguished individual from the field of gerontology to the Georgia State University campus.
