Application of consumer behavior research to real estate

Dr. Gibler specializes in the application of consumer behavior research to real estate. Her main area of research has been the preferences and behaviors of seniors when choosing retirement housing. Her articles have appeared in such publications as the Journal of Consumer Marketing, the Journal of Consumer Affairs, Real Estate Issues, the Appraisal Journal, the Journal of Applied Real Property Analysis, Housing Economics, Housing Policy Debate, and the Australian Health and Aged Care Journal, as well as in the American Real Estate Society's monograph, Seniors Housing. She is an active member of the American Real Estate Society. Dr. Gibler received her PhD in real estate from Georgia State University in 1990 with a supporting area in marketing. She also holds an MBA, a Master of Science in Planning, and a BA with a major in urban and regional planning.
