Announcing the Rice Scholarships for Students in Early County, Georgia

The Charles and Catherine Rice Foundation recently established a scholarship for an entering freshman from Early County, Georgia who wishes to study gerontology at GSU. Three scholarships will be awarded for those who qualify. Click here for scholarship criteria and contact information. The scholarships provide:
• $10,000 annual stipend for tuition (through HOPE), housing, etc.
• Renewable for up to four years
• Laptop computer and printer
• Expense-paid study abroad experience
• Membership in a professional society
Rice Scholars will be part of the Early County 2055 Economic Revitalization Project created by the Rice Foundation in 2004. The Rice family’s mission is to create opportunities for growth and economic success, and culture preservation in Southwest Georgia’s Early County. This is the first step in a long-term effort to give the people in Early County the opportunity to take ownership of their own growth and economic prosperity. Click here for EC2055 Project.
