What is the Class
Gift Campaign?
The Class Gift Campaign is
your first chance to give back to your alma mater and make an impact as
a graduating class.
Although gifts of any size are welcome, we
challenge all graduating students to make a gift of $25 or more to the
campaign.
Graduating seniors who make a gift of $25
or more will receive a blue tassel to wear at the Commencement
Ceremony and will be recognized.
How will my gift be used?
The best part about donating
to the Class Gift Campaign is that you decide how you would like your
gift to be used!
You can donate to your college or to the
university to be used where the need is the greatest.
In the past, donations to the university
have been used to establish new programs, improve facilities, fund
research, and to provide financial aid opportunities to deserving
students.
Why should I give?
State funding and tuition only
cover a small percentage of the total cost of a student’s education.
Each year over 8,000 alumni give to
Georgia
State.
Over the past several years students have
benefited from this generosity.
Overall participation in
giving from graduating students and alumni is important to
Georgia
State.
This participation rate is used by
U.S. News & World Report and
others as one of the factors in determining
Georgia
State’s
ranking among other universities.
When you contribute at any level, you are
increasing the value of a
Georgia
State
degree.
