Welcome to the home page of the Graduate Student
Association of the Department of Applied Linguistics and English as a Second Language
at Georgia State University .

 

The purpose of the Applied Linguistics and English as a Second Language (AL/ESL) Graduate Student Association is to lead the graduate student body in educational and professional development activities, promote student involvement in the AL/ESL community, and serve as a liaison between students and faculty.

The GSA is chartered with the university as an official student organization. The faculty advisor is Dr. Stephanie Lindemann .

The GSA is open to any graduate student in the AL/ESL Department, as well as any graduate student at GSU in other departments with interests or professional plans related to Applied Linguistics or Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language. Former graduate students and part-time instructors are encouraged to become involved with the GSA.
