Dr. Jacqueline Rouse Honored as the 2012 Dr. Lorraine Williams Award Recipient by the Association of Black Women Historians

Congratulations to Dr. Jacqueline Rouse for being selected as the 2012 Dr. Lorraine Williams Award recipient . Awarded by the Association of Black Women Historians, Inc., this prestigious honor is bestowed upon Dr. Rouse in recognition of her distinguished career as a historian, author, and teacher. Awarded as a professional merit based recognition by peers in the field of history, this distinction is given to one or two Africana women scholars who have taught on the collegiate level over fifteen years.

The official announcement and presentation of this award will be made at the annual ABWH Luncheon, being held Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. at the August Wilson Center for African American Culture in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
