Master of Heritage Preservation

The Master of Heritage Preservation Program offers compelling opportunities to pursue careers relating to preservation, restoration, and interpretation of the physical past.  The MHP Program produces highly-sought-after graduates with a solid grounding in urban and architectural history who possess the research and writing skills essential to any career in public history or historic preservation.  Students may choose to concentrate in either historic preservation or public history and graduate prepared for professions in fields such as: cultural resource planning and management on the local, state, and federal levels; administration of historical sites, historical societies, commissions and museums; and research positions in public and private agencies.
