Awarded in alternative years by the Departments of History and Political Science to a rising senior whom the faculty deems as meritorious due to his or her academic achievement, potential for making contributions to the fields of history or political science, and strength of character. The Honors Committee defines a rising senior as a history major with 70-95 credit hours. Nominees must have an overall grade-point average of 3.0 or higher. This scholarship is awarded to history majors on the basis of nominations from the faculty.
