Undergraduate Research Award goes to history student

Each year, the University Library Research Awards are announced for undergraduate students who have completed outstanding papers/projects demonstrating excellent utilization of library resources. This year’s Junior/Senior Award went to history student Anne Bozeman for her paper “The Presidential Campaigns of Belva Lockwood,” written in her Historical Research class with Professor Wendy Venet.

The Research Awards’ web site describes her paper as follows:

Ms. Bozeman skillfully integrated both primary and secondary sources from a variety of library collections and formats into her discussion of Belva Lockwood's role in 19th century politics. Her paper and her reflective essay clearly demonstrate that she has a masterful grasp of the research process.
