This learning community is open to all freshmen who are members of the Honors program, regardless of their expectedmajors. The English, philosophy, geology and political science courses are useful for all majors. The Perspectives course will beon Native American Thought and Literature, and the Colloquium will address issues of leadership such as: is a leader born ormade? What are some of the characteristics of past world leaders? What new qualities are necessary for leadership in the21st century? Completion of this sequence of courses ensures that the student will have met the requirements for graduationwith General honors, a distinction that is noted on the diploma and is recognized at Honors Day.A good choice if you have a particular interest in any major. Completion of this FLC ensures that the student will have met therequirements for graduation with General Honors.
