Vision Care

You may elect optional vision care coverage offered through Spectera Vision Care, which has retail locations throughout the metro Atlanta area. You pay the full cost for this program and may enroll during the annual Open Enrollment. There are two options:

  • Option 1: Material Only
  • Option 2: Exam and Material

Vision Care FAQ's:

Q: What is the effective date of my vision coverage?
A:
Your vision coverage is effective the first of the month following your submission of the enrollment form.

Q: Do I have another opportunity to enroll in vision coverage if I do not complete my benefits election form within the first 31 days of employment?
A:
Yes, you can enroll in the Spectera vision plan during the annual open enrollment period.

Q: Do I receive an insurance card if I elect vision coverage?
A:
Spectera vision participants do not receive cards. Just use your social security number when you receive services from the Georgia Optometry Provider.

Q: What providers are used under the Spectera Vision plan?
A: Spectera participants use various Providers. Please review www.spectera.com for a provider listing.

Q: Is the vision plan an HMO?
A:
Yes, the vision plan is an HMO. Participants can only use the providers listed on the Spectera website.
