The Department of Counseling and Psychological Services is searching for a tenure-track assistant or associate professor in counseling psychology. The individual chosen for this position will have an earned doctorate in counseling psychology from an APA-accredited program, with professional experience as a counseling psychologist, membership in relevant professional associations, as well as eligibility for licensure as a psychologist in Georgia. The individual must be prepared to accept responsibilities in research, teaching, and service. The successful applicant will be expected to teach courses in the counseling psychology doctoral program as well as master’s level courses in counseling. Area of professional expertise is open, although candidates specializing in rehabilitation counseling (with CRC certification) or psychological assessment are particularly encouraged to apply. Successful experience or potential in seeking external funding is valued.

The department has a strong commitment to multicultural issues in training, and this influences curricula as well as faculty and student research. Faculty members are expected to develop a programmatic line of research and mentor student research at the master’s and doctoral levels.
