Paygrade- 11, Anticipated Hiring Range: $26,849 - $36,810
The function of the operative in this position is to maintain and run the genomics laboratory in the Core facility. The principle function will be to a) purify and analyze RNA from cells, (b) undertake RNA/DNA hybridization using the equipment provided and to run and monitor gene chip micro array system.
Must have: Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry or other natural science area and three years laboratory experience; or a combination of training and experience.
Preferences: Experience in the application of computer techniques; excellent oral, writing and communication skills; experience in RNA and DNA purification and Analysis; and maintenance of equipment (optional but preferred).
