Coordinator, Physics and Astronomy, (Job# 5281) Paygrade- 13, Anticipated Hiring Rate: $46,800 The Laboratory Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing the Introductory Astronomy Labs, including assignment and direction of Graduate Student Teaching Assistants. This position will also teach up to 8 Lab Sections or an equivalent number of Astronomy Lecture courses per Term. Also, the Lab Coordinator is responsible for the student observatory and student related activities at HLCO. Must have: Master's degree in the assigned research area; or a Bachelor's degree in the assigned research area and two years experience. Preferences: PhD in Astronomy or Science Education, 3 years experience with Introductory Astronomy Labs or Intro. Astronomy Courses, and experience with teacher training programs.
