This employee will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of all assigned buildings HVAC systems. There is also the need for demonstrated knowledge of all facility trades, with assigned responsibilities towards the maintenance and repair of these trades. Work will entail inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs and minor systems modifications and installations as required.

Must have: Technical or vocational degree and two years heating, ventilating, and air conditioning experience; or a high school diploma or GED and four years heating, ventilating, and air conditioning experience; or a combination of training and experience. Must be CFC/HCF universally certified, or able to be certified within six months.

Preferences: Knowledge of the methods, techniques and practices and used in the installation, maintenance, repair, and operation of various equipment, including electrical, fire/life (generator, etc.) and plumbing systems. Demonstrated ability to detect equipment malfunction and improper operation practices and to make effective recommendations. Knowledge of large chiller systems. Knowledge of building, mechanical, and trades areas. Effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to analyze and solve equipment failures. Ability to access confined space.
