Grants and Contracts Officer III, Office
of Sponsored Programs (Job # 5290) It provides pre-award and post-award administrative support to 400+ proposals and awards. Independent judgment, discretion, and initiative are necessary to perform assigned duties. Must Have: Bachelor’s degree and at least three years in university administration, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Preferences: Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 – 5 years experience in university administration. Proficiency with electronic databases, software spreadsheets, and word processing applications. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, and administrators. Ability to articulate and deal professionally with external agencies and organization in the negotiation of perspective awards and agreements. Should be multi-tasked oriented and have the ability to maintain effectiveness under pressure, such as deadlines. Should have excellent verbal and writing skills; an excellent communicator and presenter. Should be prudent in judgment, self-motivated and work independently. Should have extensive knowledge and experience in sponsored programs administration; a thorough understanding of federal grant and contract regulations and procedures, specifically, OMB Circulars, A-21, A-110 and A-133; FAR, CRF, etc. Materials Requested: An application and a resume are required for consideration.
