Information Systems Specialist, Office of
Admissions, (Job# 5292)
Paygrade- 14, Minimum Hiring Range: $33,296-45,000
The Information Systems Specialist Intermediate is responsible for the
management of the Recruitment Plus software database in the Admissions
Office and the creation, maintenance, and processing of Crystal and Access
computer reports that support the efficiency and accuracy in processing
applications, making admissions decisions, and encouraging and facilitating
the enrollment of admitted applicants. Works closely with administrative
staff, Admissions Counselors, and processing staff to suggest, develop
and produce Crystal reports that provide data from the Banner database
and the Recruitment Plus database to support the planning, processing,
and communication needs of the office. Creates and maintains reports utilizing
the Reporting and Data Analyst modules of the Recruitment Plus software.
Utilizes Microsoft Word, as well as the Query Builder and Communication
Flow modules to develop automated communication plans that enhance the
recruitment objectives of the university. Utilizes Microsoft Access and
Excel to provide statistical analysis of data. Assists staff in customizing
the system in accordance with their needs. Produces training documentation
and provides ongoing training to the staff on the use of the Recruitment
Plus database. Provides general technical support to the office as needed.

Must have: Bachelor’s
degree or equivalent training or experience, with appropriate previous
experience.
Preferences: The preferred
candidate will posses the following qualities: proficiency in Microsoft
Office products, especially Access, Excel, and Word; excellent customer
service and communication skills; demonstrated ability to work effectively
as a team member; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong
interpersonal skills; superior organizational skills; higher education
experience a plus; experience with Recruitment Plus preferred; experience
in writing training documentation a plus; use of Banner software and experience
developing Crystal reports.
