Network Technician Lead, IS&T –
UCCS (Job# 5303) Will be responsible for maintaining voice infrastructure programs and assisting with providing program management and converged voice infrastructure design with regard to the planning, evaluation, design, development, selection and implementation of university converged voice networks. Immediate responsibilities include: aiding network management with vendor selection of a enterprise IP-PBX, including voice infrastructure design with regard to IP Telephony, Voice Mail Systems, Unified Messaging, Conferencing, Call Center, Video and LEC/IXC/RBOC services. Must have: Bachelor’s Degree and 6 years of experience or a combination of training and experience. Preferences: 5+ years of experience with regard to the design, deployment and management of any of the following platforms – Nortel Succession, Meridian1, DMS, Avaya IP Telephony, Octel Voice Messaging, Avaya CMS and Expert Agent, Cisco IP Telephony, Structured Wiring and LEC/PTT/IXC services; Process driven abilities; The ability to map As-Is and To-Be processes; Strong program management experience and project management skills (MS Project, CPM). Effective communication and big picture focus; and negotiation skills for internal and 3rd party services. Additionally, the candidate must have excellent interpersonal, written/verbal communication, organizational, and leadership skills, substantial knowledge of information technologies, resources allocation, and project management. Desired skills also include: any technical certifications (Cisco/Avaya/Nortel/Octel). Materials requested: An application and resume are required.
