Paygrade- 10, Anticipated Hiring Range: $24,992 - $35,216

This position performs rough and finished carpentry. Work involves the construction and maintenance of structural woodwork, cabinet, bookcases, and other woodwork requiring the use of standard carpenter tools and power driven woodworking machinery. Assignment normally make orally or in the form of sketches or blueprints. Work is inspected for satisfactory compliance with instructions, although routine repairs are usually made independently without supervision or review.

Must have: Technical or vocational degree and one year experience; or a high school diploma or GED and three years experience; or a combination of training and experience.

Preferences: Four years of carpentry experience or graduation from an accredited vocational school with one year of experience or the equivalent combination of training and experience. Knowledge of materials, practices, and equipment of the carpentry trade. Ability to plan, layout, execute carpentry work of average difficulty. Ability to work from sketches and blueprints. Skills in the use of hand and bench tools.
