Description: The Institute of Public Health is seeking applications for a tenure-track faculty member with a specialty in health policy and management to serve as a core faculty member of the Institute. Applicants should have research interests and experience in one or more of the following areas: health services organization and administration; management of health, non-profit and public organizations; healthcare financial management; and health economics. Candidates should have publications and grant experience in same, expertise and service experience in health policy and management. Responsibilities: The successful candidate will teach graduate courses in health policy and management and will purse independent research and scholarship. Responsibilities include establishing an independent research program through external funding, teaching graduate courses, advising, and providing service to the community and field of public health. Organization: Georgia State University is a leading urban research university located in downtown Atlanta, enrolling more than 27,000 students across six colleges. It is the second largest university in the state system with students from every state in the nation and over 145 countries. The Institute of Public Health is a unit of the College of Health and Human Sciences. Position Qualifications: A doctorate in Health Policy and Management, Health Administration, Public Policy and Administration, Economics, or Management. All candidates are required to have background in public health teaching and service. Background checks of final candidates is part of the hiring process at Georgia State and a satisfactory background investigation report, as determined in the sole discretion of the University, is a requirement for employment with the University.
