Open Rank Professor – Health Finance and Policy

Description: The Institute of Public Health is seeking a tenure track faculty member specializing in health finance and policy. The successful candidate will join a multi-disciplinary graduate public health program with emphasis in urban health research, applied public health, health policy, and community applications. The Institute of Public Health is a unit of the College of Health and Human Sciences.

Responsibilities: Applicant will serve as part of the core faculty in the area of public health finance and health care systems. The incumbent will be responsible for teaching courses in health care systems, finance, administration, and policy, as well as have full academic responsibility for student advisement, research and service. The candidate must have practical public health experience and be familiar with operations within the public health community.

Organization: Georgia State is a leading urban research university located in downtown Atlanta, enrolls 27,000 undergraduate and graduate students in six colleges. Position Qualifications: A Masters degree is required, and a doctoral degree is preferred. Background checks of final candidates is part of the hiring process at Georgia State and a satisfactory background investigation report, as determined in the sole discretion of the University, is a requirement for employment with the University.
