Georgia State University Department of Mathematics and Statistics Georgia State University anticipates the hiring of a tenure track faculty in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, with specialization required in biostatistics and public health research. The rank is open. The candidate must have a Ph.D. in Statistics, Biostatistics or related field at the time of appointment. The position is jointly with Partnership for Urban Health Research, which is an interdisciplinary program involving the College of Arts and Sciences, College of Health and Human Sciences, and Institute of Public Health. Research and teaching interests in biostatistics may include general biostatistics topics, population research, community analysis, and design effect. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, supervise graduate students, seek external research funding, and publish scholarly articles.
