OFFICIAL MARKS

POUNCE
An important part of Georgia State’s visual identity program is the university mascot, Pounce. Pounce
is designed to promote athletics and other fun, community building programs and events.

A number of Pounce images are available for use in publications, signs, displays and other marketing materials. These images are distributed through the Department of University Relations for nonprofit use and through the Collegiate Licensing Co. for distribution for profit.

Pounce may appear without the university logo on a variety of materials, but it is preferable to include the university name with the image.

Like the university logo, Pounce images may not be manipulated or changed in any way and should always be reproduced from official Pounce artwork in official Pounce colors in the manner described in this guide. All Pounce images are copyrighted.

THE UNIVERSITY SEAL
   The Georgia State University seal is the official hallmark indicating authenticity in both the ceremonial and legal senses. It is used exclusively by the president, provost and the legal and financial affairs departments. The seal is appropriately used on certificates, diplomas and invitations to official functions. The university seal should not be used as a logo or as a marketing tool.
