Student Activities

All students enrolled in the IEP are encouraged to participate in community-based activities. These activities provide opportunities to practice speaking English with many different people (from Atlanta and around the US). They also provide opportunities to learn about American culture and values. Finally, they are a lot of fun!

“Before I left the Boys and Girls Club, I registered for these activities for next time because I like it very much. Those kids were not concern[ed] about our age; they totally accepted us, which is exactly what we want. We get the opportunity to communicate with the young generation, which will still help us to improve our English. The more we talk, the better we speak."
