Application Process

International Students

If you are an international student, please prepare the following:

  1. COMPLETE IEP application with required $100 application fee (+$50.00 international express mailing fee)* by deadline ($150 total)
  2. OBTAIN documents of financial support to get your I-20 (document issued by Georgia State University to allow you to study in the Intensive English Program).
  3. Review the I-20 and Visa Information on the IEP website
  4. PAY the required SEVIS fee needed to obtain visa. For more information, go to United States Exchange Students and Visitors website.
  5. GET appointment at US Embassy to request visa.
  6. UNDERSTAND the Georgia State University policies regarding immunization and health insurance.

Resident Students

If you are a resident student, please prepare the following:

  1. COMPLETE IEP application with required $100 application fee by deadline.
  2. UNDERSTAND the Georgia State University policies regarding immunization.
