Financial Information Systems

The Administrative Systems, Human Resources and Financials, are integrated applications used in the operation and tracking of human capital, fiscal management, institutional research, and procurement activities. We provide computer-based information system services to Finance and Administration and other related departments of Georgia State University. These services include:

• Supporting the business and administrative functions and offices at the university through application development and support.
• Maintenance and expansion of existing application systems.
• Assisting client departments in satisfying various ad hoc reporting requirements.
• Development of new application systems on enterprise server, micro, or other distributed computer platforms.
• Offering user education and training assistance to insure technology-based services provided by UIS are utilized effectively.
• Project planning and support.
• Conducting Research on new technology.

Our goal is to work in partnership with our customers to provide business solutions and services, and on-going enterprise support for university wide applications and application support resources. Our focus is easy access to secure, reliable, and timely data.
