Scope: Some series from late 1960s to present, for all OECD countries, in developed areas of world. E.g. Europe, Japan, U.S. . . .

 

Description:  Recent attempt to make this data on developed nations accessible for quick navigation and download. Beta version means changes may be in store. Some data series include following:  key economic indicators, country statistical profiles, economic indicators for agriculture and fisheries, migration statistics, & OECD Economic Outlook 1960s to present.  Finance series include bank profitability, central government debt, main economic indicators, household assets, pensions, international trade and balance of payments, labor force statistics, quarterly national accounts, regional statistics, science, technology and patents data, and more.
OECD Stat Extracts is interface that allows user to browse themes, e.g., economic projections, labor, health, national accounts, in hierarchy, and to
open data tables. Browse Queries to review your searches, then Merge Queries to combine your data results.

 

Help:  OECD.StatUser Guide clickable & metadata is clickable and complete. 

Contact: STAT.Contact@oecd.org    For example data elements are defined, e.g. PPP= Prices and Purchasing Power Parities. Pull down menus clarify units of measure, and indicate series changes in data collection, etc. Country, Variable, Time, and Frequency are choices for query building.

Title: World Investment Report: Transnational Corporation, Extractive Industries and Development [foreign direct investment data]

Scope:  Print series began about 1991 as an annual yearbook. Many tables & graphs illustrating trends, from about 20 years to present.

Description:  Part one: Trends in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and policies, geographic patterns, economic sectors and industrial distribution. 
Tables on regional trends in flows of FDI, inwards and outward. Also Southeast Europe, and CIS states as well as developed countries.
Part two: featured this year, coverage of Transnational Corporations (TNC) and their  activities:  mining of natural resources, commodity prices and the impact on investments and development.  Analysis, recommendations and conclusions in areas of labor, human rights, transparency, and environment issues. Annex includes boxes or summaries of issues, such as who controls the oil & gas pipelines, EU accession of Romania & Bulgaria.  Merger & acquisition effects and more. Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) by region and national economy.

Title: Giving USA 2008: Annual Report on Philanthropy for the year 2007

Description: Data & analysis of donations to organizations in religion, education, foundations, human services, health, public society benefit, arts & humanities, international affairs, and environmental or animal welfare. It is useful for development officers, and practitioners of fundraising for nonprofit organizations, and foundations. Data collected and displayed by sources of contributions, e.g., individuals, bequests, foundations or corporations.
Legal & Legislative update includes such changes as, new form for IRS 990, reporting criteria.

Scope: 53rd annual edition, with graphs displaying data from 1967 to 2007, by decade.

Format: print, CD & online with Windows or Apple operating system.

How to use: electronic edition has adjustable settings, such as size of view, bookmarking, and search features. Also can email article to 3rd party, or download the files to user's desktop.
