Non-tenure-track positions to teach undergraduate courses in mathematics and statistics. At least one year of collegiate teaching experience. For Visiting Lecturers a Ph.d in Mathematics or a closely related field is required by August 2008. For Visiting Instructors a Ph.d is preferred but at minimum a M.S in Mathematics or closely related field is required by August 2008. Assistant Professor
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics of Georgia State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Bioinformatics beginning August 2008. A Ph.D. in bioinformatics, mathematics, statistics, or a related field is required. Postdoctoral research experience in biomathematics or biostatistics is preferred.
The successful candidate should have prior experience teaching at the college level, and will be expected to contribute substantially to the Bioinformatics concentration of the Ph.D. program in the department, and to the interdisciplinary university initiatives Brains and Behavior, Molecular Basis of Disease, and Urban Health. The successful applicant should be familiar with techniques used to solve biological problems from one or more of the following areas: applied mathematics, informatics, statistics, and scientific computing. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Lecturer
