Research/Teaching
Jean Bevis has published research papers in the areas of linear algebra, matrix theory, graph theory, group theory, and mathematical assessment. In addition to research papers, he has published an interactive CD in McGraw-Hill’s Schaum’s Interactive Series and several Test Banks for the Swokowski and Cole series of texts. He has received grants totaling over $250,000 to support work on innovative teaching practices in lower division college mathematics instruction. His work in assessment includes service on statewide PACTS committees and Regents Mathematics Test Development Committees. He has served as a consultant to the Educational Testing Service and several publishers of mathematics textbooks.
