PhD Proposals
Current demographic trends suggest that Georgia in general and Atlanta in particular can expect an increasing demand for qualified tenure-track faculty over the next decade. This is a demand that will be difficult to meet through current doctoral programs. Georgia State University has faculty that are strong in core areas of mathematics and statistics and is in a very strong position to help meet this demand for Ph.D. graduates.
A PhD proposal has been prepared, and hopefully the PhD degree will become an option in the Fall of 2007.
