Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics and Statistics

Application information

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics is now accepting applications from students interested in pursuing a Ph.D. degree with a concentration in Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, or Mathematics. Applications for Spring semester 2008 will be accepted until November 15, 2007.  

To apply please complete and mail the following:

•  The College of Arts and Sciences application form; PDF

•  The residency information form; PDF

•  The general information form; PDF Word

•  Recommendation letter form PDF. This form has to be filled out by recommenders and sent to the Office of Graduate Services

In addition, the applicants should provide a statement describing study plans. The applicants should also provide GRE scores and must pay a $50 application fee to Georgia State University (in the form of check drawn in U.S. dollars, money order, or a similar financial instrument). International applicants whose native language is not English or who have not earned a degree from a U.S. institution should provide TOEFL scores.

Applicants who are interested in financial aid should also complete the application for financial aid. PDF  Word
